Spanning 250 km from Lille to Amsterdam to Cologne, the EuroDelta is home to over 42 million people, generates 12% of Europe’s GDP, and serves as a vital economic hub. Located in the Rhine–Meuse–Scheldt delta, it is a key gateway for European goods and materials.

With its dense network of cities, harbors, industries, and fertile land and its cultural diversity, and innovative businesses and knowledge institutes, the EuroDelta is moving forward to become Europe’s lighthouse for sustainability, equity, and prosperity.

The EuroDelta Alliance

The EuroDelta Alliance raises awareness of the EuroDelta’s unique position within Europe and sees it as an opportunity to accelerate the region’s transition. Together, we explore the region’s systemic connectivity and identify ways to drive change through targeted interventions, with a focus on spatial and economic development and mobility. We test innovative solutions in policy-making, market development, and action implementation to accelerate regional transformation while addressing local challenges. The Alliance was launched in May 2025 by 10 partners and is part of the METREX network. The EuroDelta Alliance is a dynamic transregional movement bringing governments, NGOs, academia, and business associations within the EuroDelta region together.
